BIO
Claudio Napolitano
Iām Claudio Napolitano, a Venezuelan-American photographer born in Caracas to Italian parents. My work revolves around light ā not just as a technical element, but as a language for exploring the human condition. Through photography, I seek to capture the emotions and contradictions that define us, weaving universal themes like childhood, old age, and misery into local contexts that invite reflection on social issues.
In 2010, I became the only Venezuelan to receive the title of Hasselblad Master, an honor that marked a turning point in my journey. Since then, my images have been recognized with more than 40 international awards, but what truly drives me is the pursuit of meaning ā using photography as a mirror of our shared humanity.
