Kevin Steele: Eco-Friendly Travel
On the Pacific coast of Mexico, a 200-acre property is home to a boutique eco-resort offering guests an immersive experience into the local environment and landscape. Kevin Steele and his team recently visited this magical oasis so they could photograph the expansive property for their most recent campaign.
Over the course of a few weeks, Kevin stayed in the beautifully crafted and sustainably sourced casitas taking in the beauty around him. As Kevin and his team came to learn, the husband and wife team behind this innovative resort are redefining the idea of sustainability, “they are moving beyond green (doing less damage), beyond sustainable (net neutral) and moving into regeneration (making the place better).”
Even if you are not an outdoor enthusiast, Kevin’s photographs will entice you to visit this property that is also home to the Playa Viva Turtle Sanctuary, an Aztec archeological site and mangrove eco-system along a mile long beach. In Kevin’s own words, “it was truly a regenerative experience for us: to create a set of images that tell their wonderful story.”
