Markus Esser continues his storytelling theme of our love affair with American cars and how they affect our daily lifestyle. In his latest automotive story, Markus turns up the heat with a red Chevrolet Camaro SS convertible as it explores the California desert with a lively all-girl cast.
Inspiration came from Quentin Tarantino’s Death Proof, where a stuntman murders young women in staged car accidents using his "death-proof" stunt car. This time Markus does payback. Lean and mean, the Chevrolet Camaro is the all American pony car—compact, highly styled, sporty and tough enough to handle any situation. Filmed on location in North LA and near Malibu, Markus answered Tarantino with a cast of young, vivacious women to match the strength, beauty and power of America’s beloved muscle car.
Looking for some fun in the sun, it was girl power all the way as they took the convertible for an adventurous spin through the desert. The exuberant imagery tells the story— all women were created equal but a few were created for the bold and confident Camaro lifestyle. Markus thanks his producer Marem Hassler with scouting, assistants and gear. Post production was done by Zerone Personal.
